SPIC MACAY – VIRASAT FESTIVALS
SPIC MACAY is a national society for promotion of Indian classical music and culture amongst youth. It seeks to conserve and promote an awareness of the rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry amongst the youth of this country through focus on the classical arts, with their attendant legends, rituals, mythology and philosophy and to facilitate an awareness of their deeper and subtler values.
At Blue Bell we strive to inculcate in our students an appreciation of our rich cultural heritage. We regularly host SPIC MACAY events featuring Indian classical music and classical Indian dance. Artists such as Teejan Bai, Geeta Chandran, Pandit Pratik Chaudhury, Sunanda Sharma and Ritesh and Rajnish Mishra have visited us and performed their crafts to a rapturous applause of our students.

INDEPENDENCE AND REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION
15th August and 26th January of every year are a golden day in the history of our country. Marking our freedom from colonial rule and declaration of republic respectively, these are days worth a celebration. At Blue Bell School we celebrate these by hoisting the national flag, playing our national anthem with fervour and distributing sweets. We use these moments to sail back into the past to remember and pay homage to the builders of our nation.
